Human Fingerprints on Superstorm Sandy?
Description
Climate One host Greg Dalton asks NASA scientist James Hansen what effect -- if any -- did humans have on Superstorm Sandy, which devastated areas from Eastern Canada to as far south as the Caribbeans. "The climate dice are now loaded," says Hansen, "and they are loaded in such a way that, not only do we get more unusually warm seasons, but those which are more extreme are much more frequent than they used to be. [It is] unlikely that you would have such extreme warming without this global warming underneath that."
