The Current State of the UN Climate Negotiations
The United Nations climate conferences are in the midst of a 4 year negotiation process that started in 2011 and are expected to end in Paris in 2015. "Ambition is the buzz word in climate negotiations. That just means that countries are promising to do a lot with respect to reducing their emissions," says Ambassador Todd Stern, U.S. Special Envoy for Climate Change. According to Stern, the negotiations are always difficult, but there has been some good progress.
