As the Lead of Energy at IDEO, Ted Howes co-led the sustainability and cleantech domains at the innovation and design consultancy. He has worked throughout the energy ecosystem, from cleantech start-ups to utilities to the Department of Energy, on projects that range from making energy efficiency exciting to developing a culture of conservation to designing an in-home display to help residential users visualize, control and connect with their energy use. He's passionate about creating cascading impact by taking on systemic challenges to innovation, connecting people in tangible ways to their environmental impact and designing ways to support positive behavior change.  

Howes chaired The World Economic Forum's global agenda council on sustainable consumption and serves on the Net Impact Advisory Council, CEO advisory boards and is a regular facilitator and speaker globally on sustainability and cleantech.
