Spreck Rosekrans wants to have the discussion of how to make the water system work. As the Director of Policy for Restore Hetch Hetchy, Rosekrans advocated with both passion and practicality for legislation that would lead to restoring the Yosemite Valley. Before joining Restore Hetch Hetchy in 2012, Rosekrans worked for the Environmental Defense Fund and with conservationists, Indian tribes, government agencies and water districts to protect the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon and other waterways. He draws success from his expertise in water system operations and planning within the California legislature, the state water board, and the federal courts.

At EDF, he was lead author of Paradise Regained: Solutions for Restoring Yosemite's Hetch Hetchy Valley.
