Sarah Shanley Hope believes in policies that value whole lives for all people. She is the founding Executive Director of the Solutions Project, a national organization with a vision of 100% clean energy for 100% of people that invests in community-driven solutions, inspires people with stories about everyday (s)heroes, and builds strategic relationships between unlikely allies. The Solutions Project was awarded the 2017 Impact Award for their grassroots grantmaking program by the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy.
Sarah has held leadership roles at the Alliance for Climate Education, Green For All, Cargill and Best Buy over her 15+ years of experience at the intersection of brand strategy and social change. She also serves on the Board of Native Renewables. She has raised and deployed more than $40 Million in support of an equity and climate agenda over her tenure in the field. Sarah graduated with an MBA from the University of Minnesota and a BA in political science from Vassar College. She grew up in Buffalo NY, now a model of community driven climate solutions, and lives with her husband and daughters in Oakland.
Her work has been featured in the NY Times, People Magazine, Fast Company and on Upworthy, and her stories of change have been told at TEDxMidAtlantic, the Social Venture Network and Bioneers.
