As the former Northern California Program Director for CBE, Nile Malloy’s work was focused on local land use, environmental, health, and climate programs and policies that supported local resilience in Oakland, Richmond and the rest of the Bay Area. Malloy is interested in social entrepreneurship and innovative projects that address solutions to community problems. He has taught and lectured at the collegiate level at the New College of California and was a high school teacher in San Francisco for four years. Malloy served on the Cumulative Impacts Working Group for the Bay Area Air Quality Management District.
Malloy holds a B.A. in Urban Anthropology and African American Studies from the University of Michigan, and an M.A. in Social and Cultural Anthropology with a focus on local and global economic and environmental projects.
