Michael T Roberts is a composer, guitarist, songwriter, teacher, and climate advocate who resides in Berkeley, CA with his wife, two kids, and approximately forty-seven instruments. A New England native, Roberts picked up the guitar at age ten — four long years after watching his first Van Halen video. Since then, he has studied and written music in many traditions, from American rock and soul to musical theater, classical, and world music. 

In 2024 he joined forces with vocalist Will Hammond, Jr. to create Eco Soul Entertainment, putting his off-beat soul sensibilities to work for an important client: Mother Earth. Their first two music videos, "(I'm Your) Heat Pump" and "(Our Love Is) Geothermal" — for non-profits The Switch Is On and Project InnerSpace, respectively —became the subject of numerous media stories, including on NPR, Weather.com, and A/C, Heating, and Refrigeration News.
