As the CEO of the Nuclear Energy Institute, Marvin Fertel directs industrywide efforts to ensure adequate security is provided at nuclear power plants and addresses generic technical issues related to commercial nuclear facilities. He draws from his over 35 years of experience consulting for electric utilities on issues related to designing, siting, licensing and managing both fossil and nuclear plants.
Fertel holds a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Northeastern University in Boston and an M.S. in civil engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Technology in New York.
