Ken Grossman brews the beer he likes to drink with a strict eye for the environment. As the Co-founder and CEO of Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Grossman has been passionate about beer for over 30 years. Knowing that beer production is demanding on natural resources, Grossman is doing what he can to lessen or eliminate Sierra Nevada's impact. That means using energy created by on-site solar panels and hydrogen fuel cells and diverting over 99 percent of their solid waste from landfills.

Grossman studied chemistry and physics at Butte Community College and California State University at Chico in 1976. He is the author of Beyond the Pale: The Story of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
