Jennifer Richter has spent nearly three decades representing the technology and communications industry. As partner with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer and Feld LLP, she specializes in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)/drone strategy development and operations.
Richter works with technology companies and wireless service providers to facilitate the evolution of wireless networks, including the deployment of small cells and 5G technologies essential for Smart Cities, IoT, and artificial intelligence. Additionally, she provides advisory council to the Federal Aviation Administration and Federal Communications Commission regarding acceptable communications solutions for airborne unmanned drones.
Previously, Richter served as vice president and general counsel of a wireless communications company she helped found, which was acquired by Sprint Corporation. She is a subject matter expert on the Federal Communications Commission's Technological Advisory Council on UAS and the Department of Homeland Security’s Critical Infrastructure Partnership Advisory Council. Richter is ranked by Chambers USA as a leading lawyer in telecommunications.
