As a Program Director for the Pacific Institute, Jason Morrison is currently studying the policy implications of private sector sustainability initiatives, with a focus on freshwater-related business risks and on sustainable water management in the business community. Over the last decade, he has engaged on water issues directly with executive-level company officials from businesses including Chevron, Gap, and Heineken. This expertise led him to co-found the Alliance for Water Stewardship, a global initiative working to develop a freshwater certification program to advance responsible water practices by water providers and large-scale users.
Morrison holds a Master’s degree from Boston University’s Center for Energy and Environmental Studies and a B.A. in philosophy from UC San Diego.
