Dawn King is a Senior Lecturer and Director of Undergraduate Studies at Brown University’s Institute for Environment and Society. She earned her Ph.D. in Political Science at Colorado State University and focuses her research and teaching on local food systems, state and local food politics, and energy and sustainability policy. Her current research investigates food access programs and policy solutions to reduce and sequester greenhouse gases through sustainable agriculture.
She currently serves as Chair of Red Tomato’s Board of Trustees and previously served as Chair of the Rhode Island Food Policy Council.
