Dan Matross insists that U.S. demand for oil is increasing and we should get that oil in the smartest way possible. As the Trade Commissioner for Science and Technology for Sustainable Technologies for the Consulate General of Canada, Matross specializes in bringing strategy and quantitative tools to energy and environmental decision making. He began his career as a research scientist at Harvard University and the University of California Berkeley, eventually building up over a decade of technical and business development experience in energy, climate, carbon, and sustainability.
Matross holds a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from Harvard University, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Stanford University.
