Chathurika Gamage is a Manager in RMI’s Climate Aligned Industries Program. In this role, she manages the program’s work on scaling green hydrogen to decarbonize the harder-to-abate sectors. Prior to her role in H2, she focused on initiatives to cut emissions from the oil and gas sector, developing and implementing a global market mechanism for methane emissions–certified gas (MiQ), as well as co-leading the sector transition strategy for Steel as a part of the Missions Possible Partnership. Before joining RMI, Chathu worked at Origin Energy, Australia’s largest energy provider, in the upstream technical environment and engineering business units. Her expertise covers environment and health risk, water management, as well as greenhouse gas emissions profiling and mitigation.
