Brian Fagan believes that the future lies in an informed citizenry. As the author of The Attacking Ocean: The Past, Present and Future of Rising Sea Levels, Fagan explores the past 15,000 years of sea level changes, both incremental and dramatic. Fagan was trained as an archaeologist in Africa, which infused him with an eagerness to write about archaeology for general audiences. He has written six books so far.
Fagan is Emeritus Professor of Anthropology at UC Santa Barbara.
