As the former National Manager of Advanced Technology for Toyota Motor Sales, Bill Reinert's primary function was to coordinate Toyota’s various development and marketing activities related to alternative-fueled vehicles and emerging technologies. During his time there, Reinert worked on several projects including direct hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, full-featured electric vehicles, and advanced biofuels and sustainable transportation systems. 

Reinert graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, with a masters of energy engineering. He has testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality.
