As the Assistant General Manager of the San Francisco Public Utility Commission’s Power Enterprise, Barbara Hale is helping San Francisco transition to cleaner electricity. During her tenure, the Utility has built nearly eight megawatts of solar power almost exclusively within the City. Additionally, through its GoSolarSF solar incentive program, the City’s power arm has advanced nearly ten megawatts of new solar construction on private property within San Francisco. Barbara Hale is also responsible for implementing San Francisco’s Community Choice Aggregation program, CleanPowerSF, which will allow San Franciscans to receive electricity supply it claims will be cleaner than PG&E.
Hale is a graduate of San Francisco State University with a degree in economics. She previously worked for the California Public Utilities Commission.
