Alex Mehran sees the need to create dense, transit-oriented nodes in the suburbs to help fix the problem of long-term sprawl. As President and COO of Sunset Development, Mehran is the third generation of the family owned business. Prior to his current position, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager, responsible for the management of Sunset Development's Bishop Ranch and Livermore properties.

Before joining Sunset Development, he spent several years at Goldman Sachs & Co. in the Infrastructure Private Equity Fund group in New York. Mehran received his bachelor of arts degree from Brown University.
