As the co-founder of the #GrabYourWallet movement, Shannon Coulter can’t in good conscience shop at retailers that do business with the Trump family. For Coulter, a digital strategist, this realization led to action, specifically a boycott of those very companies. The boycott began on October 11th during the presidential election and the hashtag has since been seen over 700 million times on Twitter, contributing to over 15 companies dropping their ties with the Trump family. Now much more than just a boycott, #GrabYourWallet boycott has also evolved into a central resource and community of people who use their consumer power in favor of a more respectful, inclusive society. Coulter is also the founder and CEO of DoubleKnown Communications, a boutique marketing and communications agency with a specialty in corporate identity, content marketing, and customized training programs.
Coulter studied journalism and psychology at Pennsylvania State University.
