Larry Goldzband

Executive Director, Bay Conservation and Development Commission

As Executive Director of the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC), Larry Goldzband leads planning and policy development efforts, and guides disparate stakeholders to agree on difficult policy choices. BCDC is a permanent state agency dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the San Francisco Bay and to the encouragement of responsible use of the Bay.

Prior to his current position, Goldzband worked for members of the U.S. House of Representatives, members of the U.S. Senate, and former Governor Pete Wilson. He has also worked in the private sector, managing PG&E's charitable contributions program for almost 11 years, and in the nonprofit sector as Policy Director for Efficiency First California. Goldzband predicts that protection from the rising sea level will be spurred by partnerships between coastal cities.
