Kristin Eberhard

Legal Director, Western Energy and Climate Projects, NRDC

As the Legal Director for Western Energy and Climate at the National Resources Defense Council, Kristin Eberhard successfully advocated to double the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s energy efficiency budget and to implement a first-of-its-kind decoupling policy. As part of this advocacy, she worked closely with LADWP Board and staff, LA City Council, and other advocacy groups. She now uses her expertise at the Sightline Institute where she is a Senior Researcher.

Eberhard earned her B.A. in science, technology and society from Stanford University, her J.D. in environmental law from Duke University School of Law and her masters in energy, economics and policy from Duke University
